A massive Roman ruin complex and arguably the most important historical site in Split, Diocletian’s Palace is a must-see for any visitor. In case you have wondered what are the top things to do in Split, Split walking tour is definitely one of the “do’s”.

This tour takes you through 1,700 years of history within the walls of the UNESCO-listed historical complex and then moving towards others, yet nothing less admirable sites and things to see in Split, such as the City Clock, Riva, People’s Square, etc. You can be sure of the exceptional knowledge and fluent English of the guides. Tours are guided by professional, highly qualified local guides with a real passion for touring Croatia and discovering all of its beauty. Do not miss a chance to see Split from a different perspective.

After the Walking Tour, your guide will escort you to Diocletian’s Wine House where traditional Dalmatian lunch, Peka, is prepared for you. Peka is a meal made of octopus or veal with potatoes and vegetables aromatized with herbs and baked under the iron bell for more than two hours so it becomes tender and juicy. Ask our friendly staff for the recommendation – which wine to pair with your Peka and enjoy Mediterranean cuisine at its best!

It all started with 2 hours long Walking Tour. Our guide Ina was amazing. She is an archeologist, so the passion she speaks with is really one of a kind. The stories we heard and the things we learned are really impressive. This city has more history than I could ever imagine. 2 hours felt like 2 minutes. After the tour, Ina took us to the restaurant, Diocletian’s Wine House. This was one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve been to in Split. They served us Veal and Octopus Peka. The food was great. We had some wine with it and it was perfect. This was by far, the best tour we had on our whole vacation. THANK YOU INA

Our guide Nata was the best guide we ever had. Her English was perfect, her knowledge is really impressive, and the tour itself was really interesting. Thank you Nata and see you next year. After the tour, we have been served with Traditional Peka Meal in a beautiful Diocletian’s Wine House restaurant. The meal was amazing, the best we had in Croatia. Absolutely the best combination I could find.
